Michael J Collins Dis-eased Mix Michael brings forth his personal touches, introducing the EP with a healthy lesson in top-notch beat conduction. Big Mike presses on with his inspiring knack of capturing the simplicity of effective sound design, done the way only he knows how. The track builds latitude with Plato’s reverbed keys and spunky yet subtle guitar licks. The crippling crescendo pre-wig out serves only enhances the beauty of the music.
Wasserfalls Over the Rainbow Mix Anders does a carry on, holding the vibe down in his indelible idiosyncratic way. Muddy clumps of dubby residue reside over that grubby kind of loop Wasserfall achieves with his machines. His impeccable understanding of smoothing out epic soundscapes could bring a tingle to anyone’s chin. Prepare to report back to this resort aplenty.
Mud kids Out of Place Mix Here we go again, tighten your belts up chaps. Franklin cracks open a can of full fattened grit and sticks the filth on the stove for his interpretation of this once peaceful affair. Menacing bass frequencies from the future refuse to hold back giving way to Mudkids contaminated electronic swing - Like a scary bint hanging out for your kebab. Don't say we didn't warn you.
Rich Jones Unknown Mix Rich expresses his discerning techno palette with a ridiculous assemble of intricate detail. Fluidity is the key to Mr Jones's work as his chosen flavours slide in and out of the mix . A truly captivating installation that really rides the waves of ubiquity. Employing a sense of ambiguity whilst having the opposite effect on your feets.

The name is born out of Plato’s allegory of the cave and symbolises the artists desire to see beyond the forms of their traditional styles and create a sound and that fuses the purest elements of both into fresh and original music.
Having stepped out of their comfort zones to combine their unique styles; Davies.. melancholic, earthy yet uplifting vocals with Huxtable..s atmospheric production techniques work together to break through the shadows of their original forms.

My good friend Brun (He of Swayzak fame) has spent all his creative energy for SIX MONTHS on this remix (well, not all, but you get my drift) Sei A also got in on the act and gave us a remix in short order. It is cut from a different cloth, yet shares DNA with the other versions.
Surrounded by the Sun (Original Version) Sounds like your all time favourite dreams rolled into one. It starts with an enchanting acoustic riff that gently ripples into what seems like an endless haze of calming noise. The vocals greet you with an uttered charm and a chunk of reassurance.... be prepared to be soothed.
Sei A Remix: remix takes the original track into an entirely new direction. He storms you straight into that familiar smoke filled dance floor and beyond. A charging riddim followed closely by it's twisted younger sibling... a fucked up belting synth line. Vocal snippets weave in and out with moderate syncopation until an almighty gathering of massive electronic sounds smack you right in the face... BOOM!

Totally orchestral in flavour, and deep enough for the most discerning technophile, Brun has taken the elements given and delivered something truly from himself. This remix was so extensive that the vocals got re-recorded in the process. Mind blowing work, and something to savour in this world of disposable dance music.
