The New Friends Series from Greta Cottage Workshop is welcoming another talented Producer and all round Good Fella to the fold. I’m not going to bang on about what he has done in the past, that’s what Google is for. This is about the future.

Mudkid aka Franklin De Costa brings weapons aimed at those dancefloors that like things a little more blunt & twisted, without resorting to high BPM and nosebleed kicks!

Something : A lurking syncopated rhythm carefully that builds to heavy dub effect taking in all the space that surrounds it. This full-on psychedelic affair manages to increase the funk as it winds its way onwards and eventually reaches a heightened hypnosis ... More Bounce for your Ounce.

Hash Hash : A floating, easy going number that parades its way through the sunny streets of Berlin taking in what niceties life has to offer. Slicings of cosmic chords strut their stuff with light claps and flailing keys to melancholy merriment.

The Brain from Planet Mud: Does the intergalactic space shuffle, with a clanging reversed loop, which follows a solid chomp of a beat. A monster bassline of momentous degree makes you feel like your trying to out stare an angry Martian. An almost orchestral filtered sweep brings out the cinematic feel to amazing effect ... this is the Brain from Plant Mud

This E.P is a fine example of what is known in the Cottage as “Moody Boys Music”

Makin Music Radio : Review

(Jamie “winkle” Slater on the track descriptions. He is a fucking genius at it if you ask me!)
