Aural Imbalance

Aural Imbalance has known the founder of Greta Cottage Workshop, Matt for a very long time and both have seen the electronic music scene change dramatically over the years but they have always had a like-minded understanding of what works in electronic music. Peace AI.

He follows up The Dubbed E.P with another couple of large dub bombs, on the Church Dub E.P - Proper Deepness, take no prisoners style, but never taking himself too seriously either, this E.P walks a fine line between keeping a smile on your face whilst engaging your brain.

Church Dub : Dub creator operate . The perfect religious dub experience drenched in interplanetary reverb. It's fitting organ sounds will take you on a journey to Babylon an’ ting.
(Directions : play loud on phat rig in the sun)

Watering Can : More Dub for sure, but a light hearted techno delight of the highest order. Shuffle away to your hearts content with this shining sparkler and lap up it's sun soaked energy. Guaranteed to make you smile from ear to ear :)

The Dubbed EP

This is is a two-track release, which has obvious dub DNA (clue is in the name) running between them. Both tracks compliment one another and give an AI reflection of the electronic dub vibe.

Dub Culture – A full flowing tune which focuses on the heavy dub style bassline rumblling through the track, lots of delicate & intricate sounds leap in and out as the tune progresses and evolves into a juicy dub stab chord which bounces over the tech 'ouse beats.

ThinkTank – A more minimal tune that chugs along at a regular & even pace, the sound set on this track is based on a cyclic mode, sounds rise and fall creating hypnotic atmosphere; against it the bassline pulls the beats and the sounds together to form solid sound with a warm substance. Dubby. Yep.

Simon is a friend from long time passing. We have been through plenty of shit together, and its good to get him onboard for this project. A proper member of the Chelstaan scene . . . matt
